Simple as that. Even just the voice of a good friend will do sometimes. If you hang around boring people you will be bored. If you hang around clever people you will learn. If you hang around motivated people you will grow.
Make the right choice to have the life you want. And that includes the writing life.

Where in the world do you find these inspiring people?
Well Dr John ... to paraphrase what my mother said about being bored if you are boring ... I would suggest that to find inspriing people we need to be inspiring ourselves ... I suspect the question then is more likely to be "How to be insipring?". I don't know about you but I meet inspiring people everyday in my life ... It's all about listening to people's stories ...
Let me get this straight. To be better I have to be around inspiring people but to find these people I have to be inspiring. I have to be better in order to find the people who would make me better. This gets very complicated.Suppose the reason I want to be better is because I'm bot inspiring. Now I'm really stuck since until I get better I can'rt find the people who will make me better. Wow

Simply. You are inspiring. Inspring is in the eye of the beholder. All human beings are inspiring in different ways to different people. I mean it when I see I meet inspiring people everyday. I read your web page and it is inpsiring too. You even have comments from readers assuring you of this.
Perhaps I should have been more clear that it is about 'seeing' the inspiration from the people you meet. Look for it and it will be there. Like I said before ... It's all about listening to people'e stories.
It would make me feel really sad about the human condiiton to think that it is actually otherwise ... for that has not been my experience - and no my life has not been a round of perfect events and relationships and people!!!!
