Nervous Plunge!

Ok I did it! I have resigned from full time work and from the beginning of May I will be writing full time. Let me repeat that:

From May 1st I will be a full time freelance writer!

Wow. How exciting does that look in writing ...? For now of course I have to wind down from working in an organisation which quite frankly has zapped the energy out of me - though the staff I had were just absolutely the best mob of personalities you could ever want to meet!

I have learnt that for me, organisations have an entity of their own which take you away from the reason you take on a job in the first place. So this is part of a midlife crisis, sea change or whatever you want to call it ... towards a sustainable lifestyle for all aspects of my life.

It is so damn scary it's not funny ... but I have 100% support from my partner and loads of support from people around me ... so here goes! Excited. Scared. You name it ... I'm feeling it. But in the end isn't life grand!

OMG! Congratulations on quitting your job and being a full time writer. I wish I could do the same. So have any idea on what you will be doing or have anything lined up yet?

Thanks Liz ... actually YES! I have 8 projects on the go while I am working full time! (Finish work April 28). I will also be doing some workshops and stuff as well so I don't rot away in front of the PC!!!!

Pamela,

Thank-you for inspiring me today! I too am a writer to the bone, and came upon your site with a stroke of serendipity as I was looking up Century Notebooks for my daughters as introduced by Charlotte Mason.

I love what you have to say about "Too Many Ideas." I just began my first blog this year, but am pretty private about it. How many journals and blogs can one have? I want one that is all mine, and one I publish for friends and one that I carry around in a notebook, and one that sketch in, and a plain notebook for lists of ideas.

Keep talking about what you want and need, even when the going gets tough, and use that gratitude tool and you will attract what you desire.
