So sad ...

I can't believe it ... I have released two books into the wild for the Book Crossing project ... and while I know they have been picked up ... there is no journal entry for either of them ...

I hope those little books are doing ok .... travelling all alone out there ...

*sigh*

Saw your blog entry via my Google alerts :)

Don't be discouraged! Your books might be in the hands of someone who hasn't read in years. They could be in the hands of someone who doesn't even have Internet connectivity. Or they could be in the hands of someone who might make a "catch" journal entry after reading them and not before.

These reasons and more are why I keep releasing books "into the wild", whether I get journal entries on them or not. As an FYI, most of us see journal entries on about 15% of of our wild releases.

Here's what you should do -- continue sharing your books with the world -- you never know who you might touch. Second, go to the BookCrossing Site Watch forum here to read stories about heartwarming catches, books that checked in after 3 or 4 years, etc. It'll inspire you to keep releasing, I'm sure!
